PDP May Likely Have The Last Laugh At The End Of The Tussle Between Northern And Southern Nigeria

The Southern Governors Forum and the Northern Governors Forum are currently in a heated power tussle over which region would produce the next president of Nigeria come 2023 elections. 

Some months ago, Southern governors forum reached a unanimous decision that the next president of Nigeria should come from the Southern part of the country, citing cases of political marginalisation as their prime reason. 

This decision from Southern governors created a ripple effect across the corridors of Nigerian politics with many sociocultural groups kicking against the idea. Notably, Northern Elders Forum (NEF) were heavy critics of the idea.
