How E-Money Went From Borrowing Transport Fare On His Wedding Day To Owning Expensive Cars

Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-money, is a Nigerian businessman and entertainer, who is well-known for his philanthropic and luxurious lifestyle.

Most people do think that Emeka Okonkwo is one of the Nigerian celebrities born with silver spoons, not knowing that he had a rough start during his early days. At the age of 16, he founded Borisa Nig. Ltd, a company that specializes in shipping.

However, the business did not succeed as expected, as he continued to struggle. His elder brother, KCEE was the only one supporting the Okonkwo family, as he was bringing home some funds through the music events and shows he attended.

Even though they continued struggling, Emeka decided to marry his longtime girlfriend, Juliet in the year 2009. On their wedding day, he had to borrow the sum of Twenty Thousand Naira (N20,000) from his elder brother, Kcee, to transport his wife back to Lagos.

On his way to Lagos, the story of his life changed as he got a call to execute a contract worth $2 million (N1 Billion) using the current exchange rate. In 2010, Emeka Okonkwo established the Five Star Music Group; a music label where he signed great artistes like Harryson, Skiibi and his Elder brother, KCEE, just to mention a few.
