Caged Lion Spotted as Nigerian Lawmaker Receives Chieftaincy Title in Oyo State (Video)

Photos and videos have emerged, showing the chieftaincy ceremony of Nigeria's lawmaker, Hon. Shina Peller. The event reportedly took place in Oyo State and it was attended by friends, socialites and well-wishers of Shina Peller.

Earlier today, Hon. Shina Peller shared photos of himself and members of his family ahead of his title conferment as the 'Ayedero of Yoruba land' in Oyo state.

You may recall that Shina Peller is the son of one of Africa's most renowned magicians, Professor Moshood Abiola Peller (late) and Alhaja Silifat. The lawmaker and businessman recently announced that he and his wife will be conferred with the title of Ayedero of Yoruba land by the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Atanda Adeyemi III.

It was gathered that legendary Nigerian musician, King Sunny Ade, performed at Shina's ceremony. Some aspects of the event however caught people's attention.

According to videos of the event, there were two horse carriages at the title conferment ceremony in Oyo State, while animals were also on display at the event.

It was learned that a lion and some birds were on display at the event, and they were placed in separate cages. There was also a royalty-themed cake at the title conferment ceremony.

Shina Peller is the lawmaker representing lseyin/ltesiwaju/ Kajola/lwajowa federal constituency at Nigeria's House of Representatives.
